WHY 141 WAS FOUNDED
Security consulting is broken.
141 was built to challenge the outdated and ineffective models of traditional security consulting. We’ve sat on the other side of the table as a client, having hired our own security consultants, from small bespoke firms to industry-leading agencies to provide independent expert opinions, validate the health of our overall program against industry standards, and find vulnerabilities in our sites that our own bias may have overlooked.
In doing so, we’ve experienced firsthand how each vendor failed to deliver by passing off substandard products and by failing to actually prove to their client’s the value in addressing the risks they attempted to highlight. Further, their assessments and recommendations failed to take into consideration unique workplace characteristics, such as company culture and organizational structure, that directly impact the feasibility of what they suggest.
It’s these faults that lead to a system security industry issue - executives, decision makers, and purse holders treating their corporate security functions as a cost-center, and not their key to forecasting, mitigating, and harnessing risk to their advantage.
This is the perception we aim to change.
WHAT WE BRING TO THE TABLE
Our distinctive approach to security consulting stems from a foundation in military operations and intelligence, where success is measured not by theoretical frameworks, but by tangible outcomes. This background has instilled in us a fundamentally different methodology: we apply analytical processes that clearly articulate how security initiatives directly correlate to operational success and future growth.
While traditional enterprise security risk management frameworks effectively identify threats, our approach goes further. We demonstrate the concrete return on investment for every security recommendation—quantifying how each solution impacts your expansion capabilities, operational resilience, and ultimately, your revenue potential. This isn't just risk mitigation; it's strategic business enablement. This methodology has been tested and refined through our leadership of complex security programs across financial services, entertainment, and tech sectors. We've successfully navigated the contrasting demands of heavily regulated global corporations and dynamic, culture-driven innovators. This unique dual perspective allows us to develop solutions that maintain compliance without stifling the agility and creativity that drives your business forward.
Our team has implemented enterprise-level security programs for Fortune 500 companies with multi-million-dollar budgets. We've distilled these sophisticated approaches into streamlined, high-impact strategies that deliver the same level of protection without the bureaucratic inefficiencies and excessive costs typically associated with major consulting firms.
At 141, we don't view security as a mere business necessity, we position it as a competitive advantage. Our clients gain access to expertise typically reserved for global enterprises, delivered through a personalized approach that respects your unique operational context and growth trajectory.
